On 1 December 2021 the CAROTS partners came together for a final meeting online hosted by the project’s lead partner Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY in Hamburg, Germany.

On 21 September, just over 200 participants attended the public CAROTS virtual final conference “Innovation cohesion: A new approach to support industrial R&D”.

On 16 and 17 June 2021 the Startup School programme successfully ended with two pitch events for the ten first participants. Five webinars on the entrepreneurial mindset, the Business Model Canvas, financial management, marketing and sales as well as storytelling and pitching laid the groundwork for ten fantastic pitch performances and presentations with convincing stories to tell.

The CAROTS Startup School successfully launched on 25 March 2021. The Startup School team in Hamburg met the 11 participants and their team members as well as the Startup School coaches for the first time online to launch the programme and start into the first webinar focusing on the entrepreneurial mindset.

On 16 February 2021 a meeting of the CAROTS consortium took place online. The Lithuanian Innovation Centre (LIC) hosted the meeting and gave all project partners a short virtual tour of Vilnius.

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) hosted the meeting and gave all project partners insight into the Latvian landscape of intermediary companies bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Next to sharing the latest status of the CAROTS work packages participants reached a common ground defining the features of the new type of SME, Commercial Analytical Research Organisations (CARO), the project aims to establish.

The Kick-Off Meeting offered inspiring keynotes and very first steps in implementing the CAROTS project.
